◎简　　介

　　Jason Brady is a TV newsman and media personality known for pulling no punches when it comes to reporting on crime, violence and other sensational news items. But this very attitude draws him into a web of corruption and blackmail when he involves himself in reseaching a story on the debilitating effects the pollution from a chemical factory is having on a number of children in the Montreal slum district of St. Xavier. In his efforts to expose the unethical conduct of the corporation which allows the pollution to go unchecked, Brady finds himself frustrated at every turn. The factory's management recorts to violence in order to discourage the prying reporter, going as far as to threaten the lives of Brady's wife and children. with no support from his nervous superiors at the televison station, Brady is left to single-handedly crusade against the corruption. But such a task requires that he risk an unpheaval in both his personal and professional life.
